How many people can simultaneously enter an escape room?
A maximum of 6 participants applies per escape room. At Powerarea we have multiple escape rooms, allowing large groups to play an escape room simultaneously.
What is the minimum age for escape rooms?
Our recommended age for the escape rooms is 16 years. If you still want to play the escape room, an adult (18+) companion must come to Powerarea at all times.
We have someone under the age of 16 in our group. Is this person allowed to participate in an escape room?
No problem! It concerns a recommended age and is therefore not binding. However, it is intended to avoid disappointment.
Our entire group is under 16 years old. Is it possible to play this activity?
It is still possible to play this activity. It concerns a recommended age due to the level of difficulty and to avoid any disappointment. If you still want to play the escape room, an adult (18+) companion must come to Powerarea at all times.
How long does an escape room last?
You have 60 minutes to escape.
Can I get out of the escape room at all times?
If someone does not feel well or in an emergency situation, you can leave the room immediately using the emergency stop at the exit of the escape room. You cannot leave the game for a break, toilet visit or such. Pay attention! Misuse of the emergency stop means end of game with no refund.
Can I choose an escape room myself?
Of course! You can reserve the escape room of your choice through our webshop. Keep in mind that this is of course based on availability.
Can I bring personal items into the escape room?
It is not allowed to bring personal items into the escape room. You can store personal items in the designated lockers. The use of lockers is at your own risk!
What is meant by the categories difficulty, fear factor, calculation and physical?
We assess each escape room on difficulty, fear factor, calculation and physical, so we can give you a better picture of the escape room. The rating is based on stars. Where 1 star is the lowest score and 5 stars the highest score. Keep in mind that everyone can experience these factors differently. Our assessment is based on escape rates and experiences of previous players.
Difficulty
With this we indicate the difficulty of the room. The level of difficulty is based on several factors, such as the number of game elements in combination with the time and difficulty of the game elements.
Fear factor
Some escape rooms are themed in a specific theme that can be experienced as fearful for some.
Calculation
It may happen that you have to calculate in an escape room or have to remember something well for another game element.
Physical
There may be obstacles in an escape room. That can be a ladder, but also a lowering. This may require physical exertion.
